Initial Consultation
The initial consultation gives you the client, a chance to meet us, and for us to view your site and listen to your brief and individual requirements.
We can immediately offer guidance and suggestions and let you know just what is possible.
After this initial meeting, if you consider Boxwood Gardens to have the capacity to deliver your project, we will arrange for a full site survey and produce some basic drawings and plans.
Boxwood Gardens are more than happy to offer the initial consultation visit, free of charge.

Site Survey & Analysis
The Site Survey can be carried out at a time to suit you (including weekends) and will give Boxwood Gardens a chance to take an in-depth analysis of your proposed garden site.
At this point, we will also take direction from you as to your likes and dis-likes, things that you will definitely be requiring and those that you won’t.
The Site Survey will be highly detailed and will include the taking of measurements, photo’s, aspect (orientation of the sun) soil types & structure, boundaries, provision of drainage, site access, levels & elevations, existing buildings & planting. The Site Survey is essential for the drawing up of plans and planting schedules.
It is also important for determining whether any planning applications may have to be made.

Conceptual Garden Design
As soon as we have had a chance to collate all of the data and your requirements, we will commence the process of producing 2D rendered drawings, 3D visuals, full planting schemes and any requirements for garden lighting.
At this point, we will also advise on any planning applications that may have to be made and discuss any requirements for drainage or irrigation that we feel may be required.
All Conceptual Designs will be totally bespoke and tailored to your exact requirements. We will be more than happy to make any changes, revisions or amendments that you may have.
A charge is made for all Conceptual Garden Design work that Boxwood Garden’s provide (fees to be agreed before commencement) however, these fees will be credited in full if you choose to have any subsequent construction work carried out by ourselves.

Final Master Plans
The Master Plans will show all final details of your garden project. These will include any patio/decking, areas of lawn, fencing, planting, water features/Art work, lighting/electrical, seating areas, garden structures (summer houses, sheds, pergolas etc.) or any other items or areas requested.
These plans will enable estimates/quotations and other costings to be made as well as providing working drawings for construction teams.

Submission of Estimates / Quotations
If you choose to work with Boxwood Gardens for the construction phase of your garden project, then at this point we will provide detailed costings for all materials, tool hire, any required plants/trees, sub-contractors and any planning submissions that may have to be made.
All costings will be agreed with you in advance of any commencement of works.

Hard-side Construction Schedules
The Hard-side Construction involves all of the building work and will include any excavations, spoil removal, making good, brick/stone work, patios, decking, paths and any electrical installations that may be required. A schedule of start date, build duration and completion will be made to suit your own particular requirements.
All costings will be agreed with you in advance of any commencement of works.

Soft-side / Planting Schedules
The Soft-side/Planting involves the construction of any lawned areas, any ‘dressing’ (garden art/features) and of course any planting including trees and hedges.
The exact timing of this part of the project will be dependent on weather conditions and time of year.

After Care & Maintenance Programmes
After your garden dream has reached completion and has been handed over to you, Boxwood Gardens are more than happy to offer a full range of after care and maintenance services.
We can offer any type of maintenance from border work to pruning and from lawn care to tree work. We even offer winter garden machinery servicing and garden furniture treatments.
We can visit weekly, monthly or any time you wish us to attend.
All work is carried out by fully trained gardeners.
